Spotlight on: Lisa Richler, Little Leos Head Teacher

As the Head Teacher of the Little Leos program at The Leo Baeck Day School, Lisa Richler brings a wealth of both teaching and administrative leadership. As a collaborative educator and certified teacher with two decades of experience, Lisa works with our youngest learners to make connections through music, play, movement and exploration.

Magic happens every day in the Little Leos classroom. Lisa inests time and attention in each child, discovering their unique strengths and building new ones. She draws children into programming by fostering their personal interests. Whether they have a fondness for cows, trucks, or the colour yellow, each child is encouraged to bring their unique spirit and energy to the program.

Lisa knows through her vast experience that children thrive on routine. A routine helps children build the habits needed for self-regulation, perseverance, focused attention and a sense of safety. During the course of just one session, the children develop the stamina to participate in an activity for a sustained period of time. Little Leos is the optimal environment for developing these lifelong learning skills.

Lisa draws personal gratification from helping children learn and grow in a safe, nurturing and fun environment. Building relationships with parents, grandparents and caregivers helps Lisa bring out the best in each child and meet their needs.
