Trevlac Mark Entry Guide
1) What's my password?
I don't know. Submit a ticket, and it can be reset for you.
2) How do I change my password?
a) Log into Web Teacher.
b) Go to "settings" and choose "change password."
3) How do I know what fields to use?
Above are sample copies of report cards. In each area for a mark you'll find a field number. Those field numbers are the ones you wish to enable to enter your marks. In addition it will also tell you which fields your comments are.
4) How do I know how long my comments can be?
The sample report cards, found above, will tell you how many characters can fit in each field.
5) What are smart-pronouns and how do I use them?
Smart-pronouns are a part of Trevlac's ability to ease report writing. It will be able to identify the name and gender of the student you wish to write a report for. Try this, type in <Common Given Name> into a comment field, click out of that field, and it will change to the student's name. Do the same by typing <He/She> and it will put in the correct gender. If you have a variety of comments which apply to multiple students, you can write it in word with the smart-pronouns and then paste them into Trevlac. Once they're in Trevlac you may personalize it further. The complete list of available smart-pronouns are as follows:
<Legal Last Name, Given Name>
<Legal Given Name Last Name>
<Common Last Name, Given Name>
<Common Given Name Last Name>
<Common Given Name>
<Legal Given Name>
<Common Last Name>
<Legal Last Name>
<Mr./Miss>
<He/She>
<she/he>
<His/Her>
<her/his>
<her/him>
<Date>
6) OH NO! Everything's Gone!
a) Don't panic.
b) What's the error message? Read the red text and check the questions again.
7) What does, "No Courses are available for the selected teacher on the selected date" mean?
You must press save in the mark entry setup screen or you will be faced with this error message. If you click on "Mark Entry Setup", press save and then click "Go To Mark Entry", this problem will be resolved.
8) What does, "A System Exception Error has occurred. The selected user has neither Courses nor Home Rooms assigned at the currently selected school. Please check that the correct school has been selected" mean?
This means one of two things. 1) You don't teach any classes (ie. you're a librarian). 2) A mistake was made and your classes are under a different teacher's name. If this is the case, submit a ticket to the Help Desk.
9) It won't let me activate the fields I need!
This is most likely because you are using Mozilla Firefox. Though Firefox is a wonderful browser, it is incompatible with Trevlac's Web Teacher program.
10) I pressed save and I'm back at the login screen, HELP!
Relax. Your work isn't lost. Log back in. Now press the browser's back button, and it'll take you back to the log in screen. Press back once again, and you'll have all the data you enetered. Now press save again.
The reason this happened was because when you're typing, no signal is going between your computer and the server. This makes the server think you're not working, so it logs you out.
11) Extra students are in my list.
Submit a ticket immediately. In the email specify exactly which students, and exactly which course.
12) Can I schedule a time for private tutorials?
Submit a ticket.
