Rosh Chodesh
Jewish tradition provides a number of opportunities for celebration. When the new Hebrew month falls on a school day, we note the occasion with a Rosh Chodesh service. Tefillah is led by students, Torah is read by students and each service has a guest who delivers a D'var Torah. This is a wonderful opportunity to honour a student, family member or commemorate a simcha/special occasion.

No Jewish celebration would be complete without food! Our Rosh Chodesh is made more joyous with a breakfast for students, staff and guests, of juice, bagels and cream cheese provided by the school. This breakfast takes place after the service. You are welcome to join us.

“We recognize the value of, and need for, a strong institution of liberal Jewish education in the central area of the City of Toronto. Tzedakah, while a mitzvah, is never completely selfless. It is in the Jewish community's interest, and our personal self-interest to promote the values of liberal Jewish education, along with the other aspects of the curriculum and experience at Leo Baeck which create better overall citizens.”
