South Campus's First Annual International Day is almost here!
Thursday, June 10th
What is International Day?
In the mid 1960s, Marie-Therese Maurette created the framework for what would eventually become the IB Diploma Programme in 1948 when she wrote Is There a Way of Teaching for Peace? We believe there is and it begins with our students gaining important understanding and awareness of the different countries around the world and the cultures that exist within those countries. In this spirit, our Middle School students will be preparing presentations and activities for Grades 1 through 5 for 10 carefully selected countries around the world.

MEETING TONIGHT: Tzedakah Trip to Ecuador for Middle Schoolers and Recent Alumni
South Campus Principal Jonathan Harris has recently begun to explore the possibility of taking a group of current and former Leo Baeck students to Ecuador in the spring of 2011. Please join Mr. Harris for an information session TONIGHT @ 7 p.m. in the Beit Midrash. For more information or if you have questions, please email Mr. Harris at jharris@leobaeck.ca.
Important Message Regarding Parking
Dear South Campus Parents,
I have been generally pleased with the improved compliance and the corresponding improvement in student safety on school property. Unfortunately, I continue to observe illegally parked vehicles on the streets adjacent to the school, particularly at the end of the school day. Please note that the only possible solution may be to engage local law enforcement in order to improve both the safety of our students and compliance with the parking regulations.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Harris
