Please send your child to school with loose, clean and product free hair.
Locks of Love: Can You Spare 10" of Hair?
On April 25th, the LBPA Mitzvah Committee will again host a Mitzvah Day for Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under 18 years of age suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
Students in Grades 2-8, parents and staff are invited to donate their hair to Locks of Love and help a child regain a sense of confidence. All students are encouraged to come out to support their friends' act of kindness. Dani from Dani's Hair Salon will be present to cut 10" of hair, to be donated to Locks of Love.
Please contact Amy Kaiser at amy.kaiser@utoronto.ca if you plan to donate your hair or if you have any questions!

Join us at our third annual Mitzvah Day, hosted jointly by Holy Blossom Temple and Leo Baeck at South Campus! There will be nine simultaneous Mitzvah activities, such as “Welcome the Stranger” (packing up nearly new backpacks with new school supplies for needy children in South Tel Aviv) and “Teach your Children Diligently” (preparing a library of children’s books for a First Nations reservation near the Arctic).
We could also use donations of the following materials:
For Local Birthday Party Kits: Candles, cake mixes, cake icing, party decorations, balloons, noisemakers, tableware, unwrapped new gifts, gift wrap and ribbon

LAST CHANCE for Calendar Submissions!
Don't miss out on the opportunity to be included in the Leo Baeck Calendar.
The Calendar is a resource used by over 850 students - families on a daily basis throughout the school year. The calendar highlights critical event dates and serves as a handy reference throughout the year. Proceeds from the 2010-2011 Leo Baeck Calendar will be directed to the LBPA Arts and Athletics and Technology Funds, to provide our students with learning opportunities in drama, music, visual arts, sports, school teams and technology initiatives. The Leo Baeck Calendar will be distributed free of charge to students, their families, administration and advertisers in June 2010. Thank you for your continued support!
