It is truly an honour to be Campaign Chair for the New Leo Baeck South Campus. I have been a member of the Leo Baeck community for more than fifteen years. In the early years, the School leadership dreamed about a renewed South Campus – one that could and would offer our children the very best in Jewish day school education. Now, with the help of our community, that dream is becoming a reality.
When we opened our doors in September 2012, we inaugurated a magnificent facility offering unprecedented opportunities for our children and generations of children to follow. No longer do day school parents have to choose between a Jewish education, an outstanding secular education and exceptional facilities. At The Leo Baeck Day School, we have it all including the potential to make a powerful impact on generations of Jewish children.
As we look forward to our future, providing our children with a Jewish education continues to be paramount. Research across North American continues to support the unparalleled impact of Jewish day school. No other single factor has a greater influence on adult Jewish involvement than day school.
Supporting this campaign is therefore an investment in our community, our collective future, and our future leaders – your children. Your generosity will ensure this spectacular facility is a model of Jewish educational excellence, and a centre for lifelong learning, arts, culture and social responsibility.

Laurie is Past President of our Board of Directors and Chair of the Capital Campaign for The New South Campus. Laurie and her husband, Michael, are the parents of three Leo Baeck graduates and are thrilled to be supporters of the campaign. "It is with great pride that we chose to support this project and know that in supporting the New South Campus, we are giving back but a fraction of what the LBDS has given to our children and our family.
