The Leo Baeck Museum
The Leo Baeck Museum at the school's Atkinson Campus hosts an outstanding collection of ancient middle eastern artefacts, given to the school in 2004 by Rabbi Arthur Bielfeld, in honour of retiring Director Zita Gardner. It includes a 1st Century C. E. small pottery oil lamp and an 8th Century B. C. E. black pottery juglet. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Rabbi Baeck, the school has also acquired a special commemorative stamp, issued by the Austrian government, which stands alongside a First Day Cover Leo Baeck stamp. A significant collection of books by and about Rabbi Baeck is also on display, with letters between Rabbi Baeck and another of the most significant Reform Rabbis of the 20th century, Rabbi Gunther Plaut of Holy Blossom, alongside letters from Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, to Rabbi Baeck.
