Welcome to the Atkinson Campus of The Leo Baeck Day School. Our state-of-the-art facility is located in Thornhill and operates both a Lower and a Middle School. The Lower School, which is itself divided into Pre-School and Elementary, includes a Morning Nursery, Morning and Full Day Junior Kindergarten, Full Day Senior Kindergarten, and Grades 1 through 5. Our Middle School operates from Grades 6 through 8 and functions as a "school within a school". There are over 500 students attending the Atkinson Campus. We presently offer three classes at each grade level with an average student-teacher ratio of 21:1.

In addition to offering an enriched General Studies and Hebrew/Judaic Studies curriculum, we provide many opportunities and programs for our students to learn about and get involved in community issues and Israel. The Atkinson Campus offers our students a unique learning environment that includes two gymnasiums, an art studio, a high-tech computer lab, a fully equipped science lab, and a recently upgraded resource library and audiovisual department.

I have had the privilege of serving The Leo Baeck Day School for the past twenty-seven years as both a teacher and administrator. During this time, I have watched the school grow into the vibrant environment it is today which aspires to achieve excellence in General and Judaic Studies. Our administrative staff includes Yvette Burke, Supervisor of Student Services, Naomi Kfir, Hebrew Supervisor, Sharon Levy, Middle School Coordinator, Desmond Bender, Coordinator of Programme Development and Rochelle Chester, Lead Teacher-Librarian.
